SureSURV Domestic EPC

An Energy Performance Certificate ( EPC ) is now required for all homes put on the market for sale or rent - these are carried out by our accredited Domestic Energy Assessors.

The EPC will wil give you informaton on your property's energy efficiency in relation to set National Standards. The EPC will grade your property much like domestic fridges are graded and will recommend improvements you can make to increase the property's energy rating.

The Assessment will include the inspection and recording of the following items:-
  • Roof, Wall and Floor insulation
  • Type of Heating and Hot Water Systems
  • Window Types
  • Light Bulbs

SureSURV Commercial EPC

Since 4th January 2009, any commercial property put on the market for sale or rent must have a non-domestic ( Commercial ) EPC available to a prospective tenant or buyer at the earliest opportunity and at any stage when:-
  • Written information about the building is first provided as a result of a request by a prospective purchaser, or...
  • The building is viewed
Commercial EPCs are also required for newly constructed buildings as well as buildings that have been substantially modified.

The maximum penalty for non-compliance is currently £5,000 enforcable by Trading Standards.

Our fully accredited Commercial Energy assessors can produce EPCs for non-dwellings ranging from a simply serviced naturally ventilated building to a complete air-conditioned or highly serviced industrial building.
